The Dietary Risk Calculator evaluates the health risks associated with a user’s eating habits. It generates a dietary risk score across nine categories, with the overall score indicating the likelihood of developing conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, stroke, and cardiovascular diseases (including heart attack).
While this tool focuses on dietary factors, it is important to note that other lifestyle elements—such as physical activity, stress levels, and sleep patterns—also contribute to overall health.
The users will be asked how often they consume the following food types:
- Fast food (sit-down, take-out meals, frozen dinners)
- Bread/rolls
- Chips, salty snacks, pretzels, popcorn, and crackers
- Hot dogs, sausages, deli, and cured meats
- Sweet drinks that include juices, soda, iced tea, flavored coffee, milk tea, or tea drinks
- Peanuts, seeds, and nut butter
- Fish, shellfish
- Vegetables (potatoes, corn, peas, and beans don't count)
The user's answers for each food type will be converted to points:

Score Calculation
The corresponding points from the user's answers are added together to get the total points. The score range will then tell the user about the likelihood that they are at risk due to their diet.
| Score range | Dietary Risk |
| 0-9 points | Low risk |
| 10- 18 points | Moderate risk |
| 19-27 points | High risk |
